Flemington Food Forest

Located in the Farnham St Reserve adjacent to the Flemington Neighbourhood Learning Centre the idea was hatched at a Food Swap and came to life with hard working, helping hands at a Permablitz.

Over time the garden has evolved; desire lines carved and encouraged, some plants thriving and taking the place of weaklings that wilted away and slowly creeping outwards with each donation. Signs have been created transforming the space into an outdoor classroom for primary school students, ESL classes and toddlers with their guardians in hand. It’s exciting to watch it grow and we are always looking for donations of time and money to anyone who wants to be part of it!
